I’ve yet to visit SM Mall of Asia. Maybe when I go home this weekend.
I find it ironic though… 3 of the largest in the world is in a 3rd-world country? Heh. How do these malls survive?
You should also try to visit Trinoma mall they say. It’s right next to SM North Edsa. Not sure how that fares though.
Philippines is kinda an oddball it’s considered as the Next 11 Countries with a status of “Newly Industrialized Countries”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Next_Eleven by Goldman Sachs.
And other sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newly-industrialized_country
Then again, there’s so much that needs to be done and improved.

Huwaw! We have thre of the largest malls… Quite amazing how China have 4 of the largest malls, ten years ago malls weren’t evident there… They have a fast growing economy that’s why it’s not called the sleeping giant anymore… I think SM also have a mall in China….
well, it says much about the filipino’s love for shopping and whiling away time with friends, family, or with just oneself. things have so much changed that instead of parks on a freeday, its the malls that we tend to gravitate into.

Wow. It’s really nice to know that the Philippines has been included on the list. Not just one mall, but three malls. Savoring the Pinoy Pride. (lol)
